- the banners represent the strictness of the school
- the boys make fun of the four pillars
- The father makes decisions for the son with disregard for what he wants
- the class is shocked when Mr. Keating takes them out side the class room
- Mr Keating tells them to seize the day and make your life's mean something
- the class is truly shocked that he wants them to ripe out the pages of there book
- the other teacher cant believe he has them ripping a book apart
- Mr Macalister laughs at the thought that a 17 year old could be a free thinker and laughs at Mr. Keating
- The excitement of the Dead Poets Society is the first light and excitement that they show
- Mr Todd Anderson is extremely shy and does not want to read or speak up in class
- Mr Keating tells them to constantly look at things in a different way and strive to find there own voice
- when Mr Keating makes Todd describe the picture and it comes out poetry is a breakout point for Todd, he is finding his voice
- Knox is obsessed with Kris
Mr. Keating is passionate and a little bit crazy. He is pushing the young men to find themselves and not just fall in to line.
